NBC’s George to the Rescue: Welcome Home Rebecca!
Partner & Design Director, Steven Andersen and MDA Project Manager, Allie Papp, AIA, WELL AP, appeared on a recent episode of George to the Rescue.
They volunteered their design expertise as part of NBC’s George to the Rescue, a community-based home renovation series dedicated to helping and improving the lives of families in need. Steven and Allie redesigned a house for the family of Rebecca Koltun, a 21-year-old college student, who was paralyzed from the neck down after experiencing a major neck and spinal cord injury while skiing in Vermont in 2021. They worked with contractor-host, George Oliphant, who collaborates with designers, contractors, and volunteers to rebuild homes for families and communities.
On this episode, they help transform the Koltun’s Long Island home into an accessible and safe space for Rebecca and her family to live. JRM Construction Management volunteered their construction services and CFI donated all the furniture to this amazing project.
Watch this heartwarming episode. Welcome home Rebecca!
