Urban Dove Team II Charter High School Opens in the Bronx
The Urban Dove Team II Charter School has opened its new transfer high school in the Bronx, designed by Montroy DeMarco Architecture.
The campus, named Urban Dove Team II Bronx, offers a unique educational model that uses sports and life skills to help at-risk teens graduate on time. The school has relocated from a former location to 671 Prospect Avenue, Woodstock.
The project involved redeveloping and expanding three adjacent commercial buildings into a cohesive 39,000-square-foot campus. The program includes a fourth-floor expansion, high ceilings, large windows, and original brick walls. The school, housing 300 students and 70 staff, is leased from property owner Nivneh Capital Group/The Iconic Group. It’s named the Evan Leif Educational Campus in honor of one of the donors.
